Only two quarterbacks in the Super Bowl era have retired as Super Bowl Champions, and both happen to be Denver Broncos. 17 years ago John Elway won the Super Bowl over the Atlanta Falcons and retired as a Super Bowl Champion, and most recently Peyton Manning, winning Super Bowl 50 over the Carolina Panthers with Elway as the GM who brought Peyton on board the Bronco Express.
Manning got the Broncos off to 2-0 start during the 2015 season as he completed 26 of 45 passes for 256 yards and three touchdowns. His last touchdown in the game was a 19-yard pass to Emmanuel Sanders that tied the game at 24 with 36 seconds left. The Broncos won the game a few seconds later when Bradley Roby returned a fumble for 21 yards and complete the dramatic comeback. This game also marked the last time in his storied career that Manning threw for at least three touchdowns in a single game.
This Nike On-Field size 46 white combination mesh and knit jersey displays outstanding game use with grass stains on the upper back left back area and lower back, along with various sweat stains. Manning’s number 18 is sewn on the front, back and shoulders in navy blue and orange tackle twill and “MANNING” is sewn on in navy blue on a matching white mesh name plate. Each side has a thick vertical blue stripe outlined in orange and “BRONCOS” is embroidered in navy blue above the front number. The raised NFL shield decal is ironed on the blue v-neck collar and the Nike and year tag (2015) are sewn on the inside back collar. Also featured on this jersey is an orange captain’s patch with four stars in gold. Manning signed his name vertically in silver marker on the back “1” and inscribed “18”. On the back “8” Manning inscribed in silver marker “Game Used”, “9-17-15 @ KC Chiefs”, “26/45 256 yds 3 TD’s” and “Last 3 TD Game”. This jersey comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from the Denver Broncos (Serial #219110011871) and a COA from Panini (PA32532) for the game use, and a FANATICS hologram (1094695) for Manning’s signature and inscriptions.
