In the 2014-15 NBA season, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson emerged as the greatest shooting backcourt in NBA history. The Warriors guards, affectionately known as the Splash Brothers for their three-point shooting prowess, finished 1-2 in three-pointers made, with 286 for Curry and 239 for Thompson. The Warriors, under first-year coach Steve Kerr, finished the regular season 67-15, with the best offense in the NBA. The Dubs stormed to the NBA title, dispatching the Pelicans, Grizzlies, Rockets, and Cavaliers, delivering the first title to the Bay Area since 1975.
