Arizona Cardinals safety Tyrann Mathieu wore this black Cardinals alternate jersey against the St. Louis Rams on October 4th, 2015 at the University of Phoenix Stadium. Arizona, the eventual NFC West champions, fell 24-22 to the visiting Rams despite Carson Palmer’s 352 passing yards. Mathieu recorded six tackles, defended a pass, and forced Todd Gurley to cough up the football for a fumble. Mathieu had the best season of his career in 2015, reaching the Pro Bowl and earning a First Team All-Pro selection. The former LSU star notched 89 tackles, with a forced fumble, sack, and five interceptions for the 13-3 Cardinals. Arizona advanced to the NFC Conference Championship Game in 2015 before falling to the Carolina Panthers.
This offered Cardinals alternate jersey is black, with red piping and white accents. Mathieu’s number “32” is sewn on the chest, back, and shoulders in white and red tackle twill. “MATHIEU” is sewn across the back shoulders in white and red tackle twill over a matching black nameplate and under an Arizona Cardinals logo patch. A Cardinals wordmark and a NFL logo patch are sewn on the chest, while white Nike swooshes are sewn on both sleeves. A Nike size “40 LINE” tag with an attached “2015” flag is sewn on the back inside collar. Mathieu has signed “Tyrann” on the “3” digit on the back of the jersey and “Mathieu” on the “2” digit. Similarly, he inscribed “Honey” on the “3” and “Badger” on the “2” to honor his nickname of “The Honey Badger”. The signature and inscription are written in black marker. This jersey comes with an NFL-PSA/DNA (2N20433) STICKER ONLY and an RGU LOA.
