Offered in this lot is the third base used during the bottom of the fourth inning in Yankee Stadium during Alex Rodriguez’s final MLB game on August 12th, 2016. The historically talented slugger crushed an RBI double in the bottom of the first against Tampa Bay Rays starter Chris Archer as New York protected home turf in a 6-3 win, with C.C. Sabathia hurling six strong innings to notch his seventh win of the 2016 campaign. Rodriguez has signed the top of the base in black marker, inscribing “Final Game” and “8-12-16” in addition to his iconic signature. Written on the underside of the base in blue marker is “8/12/16 Bottom 4th Inning 3rd Base.” The base comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram (JB 772790), a Fanatics hologram (B070520), and two Steiner Sports holograms (239891, SS156983).
