The longest, most painful title drought in American sporting history ended on November 2nd, 2016, when the Chicago Cubs stunned the Cleveland Indians in an unforgettable World Series Game 7. By defeating the Indians in 10 innings, the Cubs completed their historic comeback from a three games to one series deficit to win their first World Series since 1908. Led by National League MVP Kris Bryant’s bat and an outstanding pitching staff, the Cubbies officially discarded the “Loveable Losers” tag that had stuck with them for decades.

This Official 2016 World Series Robert D. Manfred Jr. baseball has been signed by 23 members of the 2016 Cubs, with World Series MVP Ben Zobrist’s signature appearing on the sweet spot. Other signatures include Kris Bryant, Anthony Rizzo, Javier Baez, Kyle Hendricks, Addison Russell, Dexter Fowler, Kyle Schwarber, Willson Contreras, Jon Lester, David Ross, Carl Edwards Jr., Miguel Montero, Jorge Soler, Hector Rondon, Pedro Strop, Mike Montgomery, Justin Grimm, Albert Almora Jr., Matt Szczur, Chris Bosio, John Mallee, and Dave Martinez. The signatures on this ball have been written in blue pen. This item comes with a Fanatics Authenticated hologram (A113328) and a Schwartz Sports Authenticated hologram (A239856).
