Connor McDavid wore this Team North America World Cup of Hockey jersey against Team Russia during the group stage of the 2016 World Cup of Hockey. Team North America, which was made up of American and Canadian players under the age of 23, gave Team Russia a bona fide scare in a 4-3 loss. McDavid, the captain of Team North America, did his part by assisting on the opening goal of the first period, which was scored by fellow uber-prospect Auston Matthews. Although Team North America did not advance past the group stages, McDavid proved his mettle against some of the world’s greatest players, finishing the group stage with three assists in three games.

     McDavid wore this black jersey during the second and third periods of the loss against Team Russia. The triangular Team North America logo is sewn on the chest in black and fluorescent orange tackle twill. An orange captains “C” is applied to the left chest area. A vinyl “WCH” is attached to the front of the collar. McDavid’s number “97” is sewn on each sleeve in black on orange mesh tackle twill, while the “97” sewn on the back is orange on black mesh tackle twill. A “World Cup of Hockey 2016” patch is sewn on the left shoulder, while an irregularly shaped “SAP” patch is sewn on the right shoulder. “McDAVID” is sewn across the back shoulders in fluorescent orange tackle twill on a black nameplate. A similarly colored Adidas logo is sewn above it. The fabric under the sleeves is made of black mesh fabric, while shoulder fabric features additional padding. Two grey and black bands run across the sleeves, with one band around the collar and the bottom of the jersey. Three fluorescent orange Adidas stripes run down each side of the jersey.
