Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz wore this white Red Sox home jersey on April 27th, 2016 against the Atlanta Braves at Fenway Park. Ortiz, playing in his final MLB season, finished the game 3-5 with three doubles, two RBI, and two runs scored in the Red Sox comfortable 9-4 victory. Ortiz opened the scoring in the first inning, plating Xander Bogaerts with his first double, added his second double of the game in the second inning, and collected his third double off John Gant in the fourth inning, again scoring Bogaerts. Ortiz would go on to have one of the best final seasons in baseball history, hitting .313 with 38 homers, an American League-best 127 RBI, and 48 doubles, the most in the Major Leagues.

This offered button-down home jersey has “RED SOX” sewn across the chest in red and navy tackle twill. Ortiz’s number “34” is sewn on the back of the jersey in red and navy tackle twill below a MLB logo patch. A Majestic logo is sewn on the left sleeve and a Majestic size “50” tag is applied to the front left tail. Ortiz has signed the “4” digit on the back of this jersey in silver marker, inscribing “Final Season”, “Big Papi”, “Game Used 4/27/16”, and “3-5 2Bs 2Rs” in addition to his signature. This jersey comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram (JB 377822) and a Fanatics hologram (ZZ1117874).
