Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz wore these cleats during Spring Training of his final MLB season, in 2016. He laced up these spikes on March 17th, 2016, during the Red Sox annual St. Patrick’s Day game. This game saw the Red Sox stave off the Baltimore Orioles by a score of 9-5. Ortiz went 0-2, but the practice proved valuable in the long run, as Ortiz slugged 38 home runs with an American League-leading 127 RBI and a .315 batting average in his final MLB season.

These New Balance cleats are white and dark green with a green and white digicamo pattern on the inside. Ortiz signed the toe of each size 12 cleat in blue marker, adding the inscription “2016 GU” to the left cleat. These cleats, which have had the laces removed, show very good signs of game use. These cleats come with a LOA from David Ortiz himself. Additionally, these cleats come with a MLB Authenticated hologram (left: JB 373958, right: JB373959).
