After starting his career with the Tampa Bay Rays and winning the American League Cy Young Award in 2012, David Price had stints with the Toronto Blue Jays and Detroit Tigers before signing a long-term contract with the Boston Red Sox for the start of the 2016 season. This offered Rawlings ProS1000-9KN fielder’s glove was worn by Price during his first season in Boston in 2016. This glove is top grade blue tanned “Heart of the Hide” steer hide bound with red tanned rawhide laces. Displaying excellent game use, this glove also includes a pro-style 2-piece solid web with a special soft sheepskin palm and conventional back that has an adjustable fleece-lined wrist strap.
The Rawlings label is on the back of the wrist and the Rawlings circle “R” logo appear on the back of the thumb and back of the webbing. The year code “EBB” and factory code “H29” appear on the back of the pinky. Embroidered on the outside thumb in white are the dates “08/17/07” and “04/24/08” in honor of two of Price’s high school friends who tragically passed away. This glove comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1G00531) for the game use.
