Towering New York Yankees relief pitcher Dellin Betances wore this Father’s Day road jersey on June 19th, 2016, during a game against the Minnesota Twins. The Yankees lost 7-4, with Betances coming in to pitch two-thirds of an inning in relief of starter Nathan Eovaldi. Betances, an All-Star for the third time in 2016, finished the season with three victories, 12 saves, and 126 strikeouts in only 73 innings pitched.
This jersey is a gray, button down road model, with “NEW YORK” sewn across the chest in blue and navy tackle twill. A blue Father’s Day ribbon is sewn on the left breast. Betances’ number “68” is sewn on the back of the jersey in blue and navy tackle twill beneath a blue and navy MLB logo. A tackle twill “8”, a Yogi Berra memorial, is sewn on the left sleeve of this jersey. A Majestic size “52” tag has been applied to the front left tail of this jersey. Betances signed the “8” digit on the back in black marker. This item comes with a COA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (B72547) for the signature and a LOA from Steiner Sports for the game use. Additionally, a MLB Authenticated hologram (JB 023701) dates this jersey to use during the June 19th game.
