Upon his retirement in 2015, Floyd Mayweather could look back on career that saw him as a five-division world champion with 15 world titles and an undefeated professional record. In short, Floyd Mayweather is one of the greatest boxers of all-time. To commemorate the close of a brilliant career, Mayweather was honored at the annual WBC convention in December 2016, and awarded this trophy.
This trophy has a silver-colored boxer with fist raised to the sky rises from a black boxing ring. A silver colored “WBC” logo with palms is mounted to the being ring base and an engraved plaque reads “HOLLYWOOD, FLORIDA DECEMBER, 2016”. Two colorful WBC logos flank the engraved plaque. The back has an additional engraved plaque which records Mayweather’s WBC record: “49-0-26 KOs”. The trophy’s base measures 7 ½ x 9 inches and is 12 inches tall. There are a few slight dings and scuffs from display, none of which detract from the attractiveness of the trophy. A perfect piece that caps of the career of one of the greatest boxers to tread the canvas.
