Atlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman wore this red alternate home jersey on September 11th, 2016 against the New York Mets at Turner Field. Freeman finished 1-2 with an RBI and a walk in the Braves 10-3 defeat to the visiting Mets. Freeman cemented his status as one of baseball’s premier first basemen in 2016, hitting a career-high 34 homers with 91 RBI and a .302 batting average.
The red button-down jersey has “Braves” sewn across the chest in navy blue and white tackle twill with an embroidered star pattern in the letters. Freeman’s number “5” is sewn on the back in navy blue and white tackle twill. “FREEMAN” is sewn across the back shoulders in white tackle twill beneath a ChromaFlex MLB logo patch. This FlexBase jersey has a Turner Field “Final Season” patch sewn on the right shoulder and an American flag patch on the left sleeve. Navy blue and white piping accents the sleeves and chest. A Majestic size “46” tag is applied to the front left tail. Freeman has signed the “5” digit on the back of this jersey in silver marker.
