Miami Dolphins running back Jay Ajayi wore this teal 1966 throwback jersey during the Dolphins 31-24 victory against the San Francisco 49ers on November 27th, 2016 at Hard Rock Stadium. Ajayi rushed for 45 yards in this game, scoring on a two-yard touchdown plunge to put the Dolphins on the board in the second quarter. Ajayi finished the 2016 season, his second in the NFL, with a career-high 1,272 rushing yards and eight touchdowns.
This jersey is teal, with Ajayi’s number “23” sewn on the chest, back, and shoulders in white and orange tackle twill. A white and orange pattern is screen printed on each sleeve, while an orange Nike swoosh is sewn on each sleeve. “AJAYI” is sewn across the back shoulders in white tackle twill over a matching teal nameplate. A Nike size “38 LINE” tag with attached “2016” and “+6 Length” flags is sewn on the back inside collar. A vinyl NFL logo is sewn on the collar of the jersey. This jersey has stains from Hard Rock Stadium’s playing field on the front and back numbers. This item comes with a LOA from Jay Ajayi.
