The last time Houston Astros star second baseman Jose Altuve wore this bright orange button-down alternate jersey was during the Astros 12-2 victory over the visiting Oakland Athletics at Minute Maid Park in Houston on June 3, 2016. Altuve had three plate appearances, going 1-2 with a walk and a run scored to help lead the Astros to victory. This jersey has also been photo matched to the May 29th game at the Los Angeles Angels in a 7-2 loss where he went 4-6 with an RBI and the May 31st game at Arizona in an 8-5 victory where Altuve went 2-5 with an RBI, going for combined 6-11 with 2 RBI in those two games.

This size 42 Majestic FlexBase jersey displays outstanding use with a large dirt stain on the front of the jersey. “ASTROS” and his number “27” are sewn on the front in navy blue and white tackle twill. Navy blue piping runs around the collar and down both sides of the buttons and also is about an inch off each sleeve end. The back of the jersey has “ALTUVE” and “27” sewn on in navy blue and white tackle twill and a vinyl MLB logo patch in orange, white and navy blue is sewn on the upper back collar.

The Majestic tag is screen-printed on the bottom front left tail while an additional Majestic bar code tag is screen-printed on the bottom right front tail below the buttons. The left sleeve has a Houston Astros logo patch sewn on above the navy blue embroidered Majestic logo. Altuve signed his name in silver marker on the diagonal portion of the “7” on the back of the jersey and also inscribed on the “7” 338 Avg 210 Hits” and “2016 POY”. Altuve also added inscriptions on the “2” on the back of the jersey in silver marker that read “2016 All Star”, “2016 AL BC” and “2016 Silver Slugger”. This jersey comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (JB054459) which authenticates that Altuve wore this jersey during the June 3^rd game and a COA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (I33322) for the signature and inscriptions.
