Jose Altuve has emerged as one of the top players in baseball today. Altuve is the reigning American League MVP as he helped lead the Houston Astros to their first ever World Series title in 2017. In 2016, Altuve won his second batting title with his league-leading .338 average and 216 hits. Altuve used this Tucci TL-JA27M model bat during the 2016 season and this bat was used for the last time during the April 22nd game against the Boston Red Sox at Minute Maid Park in Houston. The Red Sox won the game 6-2 and Altuve broke this bat during a fifth inning at-bat against knuckleballer Steven Wright. This bat displays outstanding use and has a crack on the handle. There are numerous ball marks and blue ink transfers present on the barrel. Altuve’s number “27” is stickered in gold with black numbers on the knob. This bat comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (JB 054163) for the game use, dating this bat to the April 22nd game.
