New York Mets shortstop Jose Reyes wore this pullover 1986 Mets throwback jersey on July 10th, 2016 against the Washington Nationals and on August 14th, 2016 against the San Diego Padres. Reyes powered the Mets offense in the game against the Nationals, finishing 2-3 with two solo home runs in New York’s 3-2 loss. Reyes led off again during the August 14th contest, going 1-4 with a run scored in the Mets 5-1 victory.

This pullover jersey is a throwback to the Mets uniform from their 1986 World Series winning season. The pinstriped jersey has “Mets” and Reyes’ number “7” sewn on the chest in blue and orange tackle twill. A second “7” is sewn on the back of the jersey in a similar fashion. “REYES” is sewn across the back shoulders in blue and orange tackle twill over a white pinstripe-free nameplate. A ChromaFlex MLB logo patch is sewn on the back outside collar. The sleeves and sides of this jersey are accented with an orange-blue-orange racing stripe. A Mets 25th Anniversary patch is sewn on the left sleeve. A Majestic tag is applied to the front left tail, however the MLB hologram is placed over the size indicator. The back tail of this jersey is made of Majestic’s FlexBase fabric. A large dirt stain is present over a significant area of the front of the jersey.
