Kris Bryant’s .346 batting average from the All-Star break to September was one of the reasons the Chicago Cubs won the 2016 pennant. Bryant was simply unstoppable down the stretch, at one point becoming only the second player in history to post two 5-hit 5-RBI games in one season. His dog days of summer heroics won him the NL MVP Award, quite an accomplishment considering he won the Rookie of the Year Award the previous season.
