New York Yankees ace Masahiro Tanaka pitched one of his strongest games of the 2016 season when he held the Tampa Bay Rays scoreless in seven innings of work, allowing only two hits and striking out four as the Yankees defeated the Rays 4-1 at Tropicana Field on May 27, 2016. Tanaka wore this size 52 Majestic Flex Base button-down Yankees road jersey during that seven-inning performance where he got the win. “NEW YORK” is sewn on across the chest in navy blue and white tackle twill. The back of the jersey has Tanaka’s number “19” sewn on in navy blue and white tackle twill, with a vinyl MLB logo patch sewn on at the base of the neck. The sleeves have a navy blue/white/navy blue stretched material striping pattern at the ends and the left sleeve has the number “8” sewn on in black tackle twill in honor of Yogi Berra. The Majestic tag and team strip tags are screen-printed on the bottom front left tail. The team strip tag has a bar code that reads “0000006808”. This game used jersey comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (JB 352647), which authenticates this jersey to the specific May 27th game, and a LOA from Steiner Sports (243033), which also authenticates this jersey’s game use.
