St. Louis Cardinals’ infielder Matt Carpenter used this Marucci DW5-M model bat during the 2016 season where he batted .271 with 21 home runs and 68 RBI. Carpenter used this bat for the final time during the August 8th, 2016 game against the Cincinnati Reds at Busch Stadium. This bat displays outstanding game use with a slight crack in the handle. There are ball marks, blue ink transfers and cleat imprints present on the barrel. There is a thick coating of pine tar on the upper handle/lower barrel area. Carpenter’s number “13” is stamped on the knob in black and the date of manufacture “07/08/16” is also stamped on the knob. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B14249) and has been graded a near-perfect GU 9.5. There is also a MLB Authenticated hologram (JB816148) authenticating this bat’s use to the August 8th game.
