In June 2016, Williamson participated in the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) Top 100 camp and was its leading scorer. In August, he won the Under Armour Elite 24 showcase dunk contest in New York City as well as the game’s co-MVP prior to his Junior year in High School.

Under Armour’s Elite 24 is one of the summer’s top high school events and took place in Brooklyn for the fourth straight year in 2016. The eleventh annual game took place on Saturday, August 20, 2016 and featured 24 of the top prep players in the country, regardless of age.  One of the most impressive performers in this year’s contest was Zion Williamson a 6-7 forward out of Spartanburg Day School, who went a perfect 10-for-10 from the field on his way to 23 points, six rebounds and the co-MVP hardware.  Only a rising junior at the time, Williamson capped off a strong summer that saw him win MVP and many then considered him a candidate for the top spot in the Class of 2018.

This pair of electric green Under Armour sneakers features the e24 on the tongue in black and pink lettering.  Additional images of Zion wearing e24 Under Armour sneakers with Coach K have been located as well and it is apparent Zion was fond of the sneakers.   The sneakers are size 15 and dated 4/16 in the tongue.  They come from a source close to the Williamson family and a letter of provenance will accompany the sneakers.  The sneakers show excellent use and are one of the earliest pair of Zion Williamson sneakers to ever hit the auction.  Having won his first National Dunk Contest at the Elite 24 showcase, these are truly a piece of history from Zion first came onto the National Basketball scene. These sneakers come with a LOA from MEARS for the use.
