Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Cody Bellinger delivered one of baseball’s best ever rookie seasons in 2017, breaking the National League rookie-record for home runs and leading the Dodgers to their first World Series appearance since the 1980’s. Despite not making his debut until April 25th, Bellinger crushed 39 home runs, with 97 RBI and a .267 batting average to claim both an All-Star selection and the National League Rookie of the Year award.
Bellinger wore this gray, road jersey during the Dodgers 7-5 win against the Cleveland Indians on June 13th, 2017. Bellinger homered twice in this game, breaking a 2-2 tie in the top of the eighth inning with a solo shot against ace reliever Andrew Miller and extending the Dodgers lead to 7-2 with a three run blast off of Boone Logan in the top of the ninth frame. These were the 16th and 17th home runs of both Bellinger’s season and his career. Bellinger finished this game 3-4, with a double, four RBI and two runs scored to go along with his brace of home runs.
This button-down jersey has “Dodgers” and a paraph are sewn across the chest in blue tackle twill. Bellinger’s number “35” is sewn on the chest of the jersey in red tackle twill, and on the back of the jersey in blue tackle twill. “BELLINGER” is sewn on the back shoulders in blue tackle twill beneath a vinyl MLB logo patch. An “LA” patch and a blue Majestic logo are sewn on the left sleeve. The sides and back tail of this jersey are made of a gray mesh fabric. A Majestic size “46” tag has been applied to the front left tail of the jersey. This item comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (JC 365216), which dates the use of this jersey to the June 13th contest.
