2016 National League Rookie of the Year Corey Seager finished his first full season in the Majors with 26 home runs, 78 RBI, and a .308 batting average. Seager’s performance was so impressive that the All-Star shortstop finished in third place in the National League MVP race, behind Kris Bryant and Daniel Murphy. Seager followed up his breakout rookie season with a solid sophomore season by batting .295 with 22 home runs and 77 RBI as he helped the Los Angeles Dodgers to the 2017 National League pennant.
Seager used this Marucci CS5-M model bat during the 2017 season. This bat displays heavy game use and has a sizeable crack on the handle with the bat still being intact. There are numerous ball marks, stitch impressions and blue ink transfers present on the barrel. There is a large coating of pine tar that covers the lower barrel all the way down to the knob. The knob is covered by a white Schutte sticker with a silhouette of the Dodger Stadium scoreboard in blue and Seager’s number “5” in red. This remarkable gamer comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (1B15346) and has been graded a near-perfect GU 9. Please note that this lot has a 25% Buyer’s Premium. Goldin Auctions will be donating 10% of the winning bid price to The Jackie Robinson Foundation.
