Atlanta Braves star first baseman Freddie Freeman wore this navy Braves alternate jersey in four games during the 2017 MLB season. Freeman wore this jersey on April 9th, July 21st, September 2nd, and September 12th, hitting five homers and driving in eight runs. On April 9th, Freeman went 4-5 with two RBI, three runs, and a pair of solo homers off Gerrit Cole and Antonio Bastardo in the Braves 6-5 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates at PNC Park. These were Freeman’s first two homers of the 2017 season and the 139th and 140th homers of his career. On July 21st, Freeman enjoyed a 2-4 performance with a solo home run off Alex Wood in the Braves 12-3 win over the Dodgers in Los Angeles. This was Freeman’s 18th homer of the season and the 156th of his career.
On September 2nd, during the Braves 14-12 loss to the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field, Freeman went 2-3 with three RBI and two runs scored. Freeman hit his 24th homer of the year (and 162nd of his career), a two-run blast off John Lester, in the top of the third inning. The three-time All-Star added a double and walk for the Braves. In Freeman’s final game in this jersey, the Braves defeated the Washington Nationals 8-0 at Nationals Park on September 12th. Freeman went 3-5 with three RBI and two runs, collecting a three-run homer off Gio Gonzalez in the third inning. This was Freeman’s 26th homer of the season and 164th of his career. Freeman finished the 2017 season hitting .307 with 28 homers and 71 RBI in 117 games.

Freeman’s number “5” is sewn on the back of the jersey in navy and white tackle twill. The sides and back tail of this jersey are constructed of a navy mesh fabric.
