Gary Sanchez set the new Yankees single season record for home runs by a catcher in this game, launching his 31st longball of the year off Richard Rodriguez. Sanchez’s blast put him ahead of Jorge Posada and Yogi Berra, who each topped out at 30 home runs in a season. Sanchez has signed the sweet spot of this ball in blue pen.
