Miami Marlins outfielder Marcell Ozuna wore this gray road “stars-and-stripes” alternate jersey on July 1st and 2nd, 2017 against the Milwaukee Brewers and July 4th against the St. Louis Cardinals. Ozuna went 1-4 with an RBI and a run scored in the July 1st contest, an 8-4 loss to the Brewers at Miller Park. Ozuna had a titanic game on July 2nd, finishing 3-6 with two homers, four RBI, and two runs scored in the Marlins 10-3 romp over Milwaukee. These home runs were Ozuna’s 21st and 22nd of the season, and the 80th and 81st of his career. The Marlins won the July 4th game over the Cardinals 5-2, with Ozuna notching a hit and a run scored. The Dominican leftfielder (and current Cardinal) had a breakout season in 2017, setting career-highs in home runs (37), RBI (124), batting average (.312), and runs (93). Ozuna made his second All-Star team in 2017 and earned both Gold Glove and Silver Slugger recognition at the end of the season.
