Moustakas, who broke Steve Balboni’s longstanding single-season Royals home run record in 2017, connected on his 31st homer of the season in the eighth inning of the Royals 8-7 loss. Moustakas finished the game 2-4 with two RBI and a run scored. Moustakas totaled 38 home runs in 2017, breaking Balboni’s record of 35 from 1985.
