Kansas City Royals third baseman Mike Moustakas wore this powder blue Royals home jersey during the first game of a doubleheader against the Seattle Mariners on August 6th, 2017. Moustakas, who broke Steve Balboni’s longstanding single-season Royals home run record in 2017, connected on his 31st homer of the season in the eighth inning of the Royals 8-7 loss. Moustakas finished the game 2-4 with two RBI and a run scored. Moustakas totaled 38 home runs in 2017, breaking Balboni’s record of 35 from 1985.
This powder blue jersey has “Royals” sewn across the chest in white and blue tackle twill. Moustakas’ number “8” is sewn on the chest in blue and white tackle twill and on the back in white and blue tackle twill. “MOUSTAKAS” is sewn across the back shoulders in white and blue tackle twill below a ChromaFlex MLB logo patch. A Royals logo patch and a blue Majestic logo are sewn on the left sleeve. Staining is present on the shoulders of this FlexBase jersey.
