Los Angeles Angels centerfielder Mike Trout, the best player in the Major Leagues, wore this red Angels alternate home jersey on August 30th, 2017, during the home game against the Oakland Athletics at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. Trout went 4-for-4 in the Angeles 10-8 victory and hit his 27th home run of the year, the 195th of his career, in the first inning off A’s starter Kendall Graveman. Trout also added a triple, a walk and scored four runs.

Trout, a perennial MVP candidate, finished the 2017 season with 33 homers, 72 RBI, and a .306 batting average in only 114 games. He finished fourth in the American League MVP race despite missing almost 50 games of the season. The New Jersey native made his sixth consecutive All-Star Game in 2017, cementing his status as baseball’s premier superstar.

This red Majestic button-down jersey has “ANGELS” and Trout’s number “27” sewn across the chest in red, navy, white, and gray tackle twill, with a similar “27” also appearing on the back of the jersey. “TROUT” is sewn across the back shoulders in red, navy, and white tackle twill. A ChromaFlex MLB logo is sewn on the back outside collar, and Angels logo patches are sewn on each sleeve. White-gray-white piping accents the collar and sleeves. The upper left chest has a white circle patch with “BAYLOR 25” in memory of Don Baylor. This jersey shows good evidence of game use, including a black stain above the Baylor patch. Trout has signed his name in black marker on the top of the “2” on the back and inscribed “17 G/U”. Trout also inscribed “4-4 HR #27” on the top of the “7” on the back. This jersey comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram (JC361884), which authenticates that Trout wore this jersey during the August 30, 2017 game. There is also a LOA from Anderson Authentics (3668), which authenticates the game use and signature.
