The former New England Patriots quarterback signed his name in silver marker on the Super Bowl LI commemorative "The Duke" football and inscribed "SB LI MVP" below his signature. The brown leather football is embossed with the Super Bowl LI logo in silver, red, and black, the caption "National Football League" embossed in silver and black, and the legend "New England Patriots Atlanta Falcons Houston, TX February 5, 2017" embossed in black. The Patriots, after trailing by as many as 25 points (28–3) during the third quarter, defeated the Falcons 34–28 in overtime. As such, the game is often known as "28–3" after the Falcons' blown lead. The Patriots' 25-point comeback is the largest in Super Bowl history, and Super Bowl LI was the first to be decided in overtime. The architect of that comeback was Brady, who broke single-game Super Bowl records with 43 completed passes, 62 pass attempts, and 466 passing yards, and was named Super Bowl MVP for a record fourth time.
