The legendary broadcaster Dick Enberg was inducted into the West Coast Boxing Hall of Fame in 2017. Enberg began his career as a boxing broadcaster in 1965, calling fights ringside for “Boxing From the Olympic” for KTLA in Los Angeles. Enberg served in this role for several years before joining NBC, where he occasionally served as a ringside announcer. Fights rewarded with Enberg’s commentary gravitas include the 1976 Muhammad Ali and Richard Dunn fight in Munich, Germany, and the 1979 bout between Gerrie Coetzee and Leon Spinks in Monte Carlo. This offered West Coast Boxing Hall of Fame trophy measures 10.5 x 6.5 inches at its widest dimensions. Printed on the award is the WCBHoF logo and “2017 / Dick Enberg / Ringside Broadcaster”. This item comes with a LOA from the Enberg family.
