Chicago Cubs catcher Willson Contreras had a solid season in 2017 as he batted .276 with 21 home runs and 74 RBI, while playing 108 games at the catcher’s position. Contreras used this two-toned Zinger X-Series model bat during the 2017 season. This bat displays outstanding use with a crack in the handle and has numerous ball marks, stitch impressions, blue ink transfers and cleat marks present on the barrel. There are some bat rack streaks and this bat has a cupped barrel end. There is a light coating of pine tar on the handle and there is a mark visible on the handle that identifies the face of the grain, which is a mandatory marking per Major League Baseball for all bats that are not ash since January 2009. Contreras signed his name on the barrel in black marker and inscribed “40” and “17 G/U”. This bat comes with a LOA from Anderson Authentics (2920), direct from the player supplier, which authenticates both the use of this bat by Contreras in 2017 and his signature.
