Presented here is a medal from the 2018 World Cup in Russia. France won the title with a 4-2 defeat of fellow UEFA nation Croatia to claim their second World Cup title after lifting the Jules Rimet Trophy on home soil at the 1998 World Cup. The 2018 iteration of Les Bleus boasted an incredible collection of talent, starting with team captain Hugo Lloris in goal. Winger Kylian Mbappé was named the tournament’s Best Young Player after scoring four goals, including the fourth goal of the final against Croatia, while the ethereal number seven Antoine Griezman bagged four goals and two assists from the attacking midfield position and earned “Man of the Match” honors against Croatia for his goal and assist in the final.
This offered World Cup medal is gold in color and measures two inches in diameter. One side of the coin has the logo for the 2018 World Cup and “FIFA World Cup Russia 2018” etched in high relief. The reverse side shows a high relief etching of the Jules Rimet Trophy and the text “2018 FIFA World Cup Russia” etched in high relief around the upper border. This medal is in excellent condition and accompanied by the original presentation box, a black 4 x 4-inch square emblazoned with a gold “FIFA”, and with a transparent area in the middle to house the medal. This is a stunning treasure from France’s second World Cup victory!
