Colorado Rockies All-Star third baseman Nolan Arenado wore this purple Rockies alternate jersey during four games in the 2018 MLB season. Arenado’s first game in this jersey came on May 12th, during a home game against the Milwaukee Brewers at Coors Field. Arenado collected two hits, a double and a triple, and scored two runs in the Rockies 4-0 win over Milwaukee. Please note that the MLB Authenticated hologram on this jersey mistakenly states that Arenado hit a home run in this contest. Arenado’s second game in this jersey came on June 13th, during a road contest against the Philadelphia Phillies. While Arenado finished 0-2 in this game, he contributed two walks, an RBI, and a run scored to the Rockies comfortable 7-2 win at Citizen’s Bank Park.
In Arenado’s third game in this jersey, the six-time Gold Glove winner went 2-4 with a solo homer during a 3-1 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium on June 29th. This home run was Arenado’s 20th of the season and the 168th round tripper of his career. The final time Arenado wore this jersey came on July 30th, during a 5-4 road loss to the St. Louis Cardinals. Arenado accounted for all four of the Rockies runs, crushing a grand slam off Daniel Poncedeleon in the top of the fifth inning. Arenado also added a single as the Rockies came just short of a W. The Newport Beach, California native finished the 2018 season with an NL-best 38 homers, 110 RBI, and a .297 batting average while winning a Gold Glove, appearing in the All-Star Game, and coming third in the National League MVP race.
This offered button-down Rockies alternate jersey has “COLORADO” sewn across the chest in black and white tackle twill. Arenado’s number “28” is sewn on the chest and back in black and white tackle twill, while “ARENADO” is sewn across the back shoulders in the same fashion. A Rockies 25th Anniversary patch is sewn on the right sleeve and a Rockies logo patch is sewn on the left sleeve over a white Majestic logo. A Majestic size “44” tag is applied to the front left tail. This FlexBase jersey comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (JC 345230) dating the jersey’s use to May 12th, June 13th, June 29th, and July 30th.
