On July 28th, 2019, Albert Pujols of the Los Angeles Angels became the sixth player in MLB history to reach the vaunted 650 home run milestone. Taking on the Baltimore Orioles at home, the three-time National League MVP crushed a Dylan Bundy offering on a three-and-oh count over the Angel Stadium of Anaheim left field fence, scoring Kole Calhoun and erasing Baltimore’s 4-2 lead. The Angels went on to win the game 5-4 on a walk-off home run from rookie third baseman Matt Thaiss. Pujol’s home run was his 17th of 23 on the season, with the two-time World Series champion racking up 93 RBI and 22 doubles in addition to the longballs in 2019.

Offered in this lot are Pujols’ cleats worn against the Rangers on July 28th, 2019. The cleats are white and red, with white Nike swooshes sewn on both sides of the cleats. “ROM 5:19” is printed on the left cleat and “PHIL 4:13” is printed on the right. “PUJOLS” is embroidered on each heel and “D.I. AJ. S.E.E.” is embroidered inside the size 13 shoes. Pujols has signed the toe of each cleat in black marker. The cleats come with MLB Authenticated holograms (JC126877, JC126878) and STICKERS ONLY from Beckett Authentication (P61605, P61606).
