Many questions surrounded the New York Mets entering the 2019 season. One of the questions that was answered with a resounding affirmative was the emergence of first baseman Peter Alonso. Already touted as the top prospect in the organization, Alonzo endeared himself to the Citi Field faithful by launching home run after home run during his historic National League Rookie of the Year season. Alonso’s 53 home runs not only set a Mets’ franchise record, but also a Major League record for a rookie.

While wearing this blue alternate road New York Mets button-down jersey, Alonzo connected on his 10th home run of the season and career when he launched a Junior Guerra pitch to deep right-center field that tied the game at 2-2 in the top of the ninth inning in Milwaukee. In addition to Alonzo’s home run, his Majestic size 48 jersey displays heavy game use with a large dirt stain across the front, showing the expected use from an 18-inning game. “NEW YORK” is sewn on across the chest in gray and orange tackle twill, along with Alonzo’s number “20”. Orange piping runs around the collar and down both sides of the button. Alonso has signed his name in blue marker on the bottom of the “2” on the back and inscribed “20”, while also inscribing “10th Career HR” in blue marker on the bottom of the “0”.
