Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States, has used a black dip pen to write on this approximately 7.75 x .5-inch strip. Lincoln’s writing reads “fraudulently and deceitfully represented said [illegible] of”. This line of text is taken from a longer document, a photo-copy of which is included in this framed display.
