Presented here is Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s American Cancer Society Athlete of the Decade Finalist award. Abdul-Jabbar, the NBA’s all-time leading scorer and a 19-time All-Star, is one of the NBA’s great humanitarians and a devoted philanthropist. This award measures approximately 12 inches tall and stands on a 4 x 4-inch base. A raised sword encircled by twin serpents is displayed on the body of the trophy, strongly resembling an inverted caduceus. A plaque on the base reads “Kareem Abdul-Jabbar ‘Athlete of the Decade’ Finalist American Cancer Society NYC Div. Donated By The Hertz Corp.”. This award comes with a LOA signed by Abdul-Jabbar.
