The Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig of the PGA, or perhaps the Ali and Frazier, you’d be hard find two names more readily associated with the game of golf than Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus. This incredible golf display consists of signed scorecards from golfing legends Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus used during tournament play in the 15th United States Senior Open Championship played at Course No 2 at the Pinehurst Resort in North Carolina.
Both scorecards have been framed in a handsome 35 X 30 display that includes a colorful photograph of each golfer and a plaque highlighting Palmer’s 7 Major tournament victories and Nicklaus’s record 18 Major tournament victories. Palmer and Nicklaus have each signed their respective 10 X 4 scorecards in pencil from their 18 hole round played on July 1, 1994 with reigning Seniors Champion Nicklaus shooting a 68 while Palmer tallied a 74. Such famously signed scorecards for major professional tournament events rarely if ever come up for public sale. This truly unique display comes with. A full JSA LOA (Y80532) and PSA/DNA LOA (Y04934) accompanies the piece authenticating the signatures.
