Offered in this lot is a stunning 12 x 24-inch original artwork on canvas depicting the great slugger Babe Ruth by the noted sports artist Mike Kuyper. A portrait of “The Babe” in his Yankee home whites dominates the artwork, with special attention paid to Ruth’s slouching Yankees ballcap. A smaller image of Ruth, this time in action at the plate, is located on the lower portion of this original artwork. Kuyper has signed the front and back of the artwork, inscribing “Babe Ruth / The Great Bambino / 12 x 24” in addition to his signature on the rear.
