Two of the prominent power hitters of the early 20th century is on display with this 19 x 27 inch framed display. Featured in this display are the cut signatures of Hall of Famers Babe Ruth and Jimmie Foxx. Ruth set the original home run mark with his 714 home runs when he retired in 1934, while Foxx pounded out 537 home runs himself when he called it a career in 1945. Ruth’s signature is in light blue ink on a round baseball with a drawing of Ruth in his famous follow-through swing. Ruth’s signature is diagonal of the image, but presents beautifully. Foxx’s signature is in bold black pen on a sepia toned 4 x 5 inch photograph of him pointing a rifle in what looks like hunting gear with other hunters. The display also features a 11 x 14 black and white photograph of Lou Gehrig, Jimmie Foxx and Babe Ruth, all in uniform. Ruth and Gehrig are in their road uniforms, while Foxx is sporting his home Philadelphia A’s uniform. The photograph and signatures have been matted and the signatures come individual LOAs from PSA/DNA (S13760 – Ruth & T11314 – Foxx).
