Barry Larkin was such a football talent that he was given a scholarship to the University of Michigan to play for Bo Schembechler. However Barry's true love was baseball and he led the Wolverines to two College World Series' in 1983 and 1984. Larkin was a two-time All-American at Michigan and was the 1984 and 1985 Big 10 Player of the Year. To top off his collegiate record, Michigan retired his number "16" in 2010. Larkin's white pullover sand knit jersey has "MICHIGAN" across the chest and Larkin's college number "16" in navy and yellow tackle twill. The v-neck is trimmed in navy and yellow ribbing and the sleeves have a broad navy stripe. Wilson size "42" label is sewn inside the collar. The back has Larkin's number "16" in navy and yellow tackle twill. Larkin has signed the left chest in black Sharpie adding "GAME USED". The jersey shows great game use with several pine tar and turf stains throughout along with some loose threads on the lettering. Colors remain bright and the jersey displays beautifully. Great piece from the very beginning of Larkin's Hall of Fame career. Letter of Authenticity from Barry Larkin. All Barry Larkin LOAs contain a facsimile signature from Larkin and are accompanied by a Goldin Auctions LOA confirming the product came directly from Barry Larkin.
