Babe Ruth remains arguably the biggest name in the hobby today. The owner of 714 career home runs to 2,214 career RBI, “The Bambino” redefined baseball with his popularity for over 20 years from 1914-1935. Ruth’s autographs are the pinnacle of this hobby and presented here is a multi-signed baseball with Ruth’s famous signature beautifully displayed across the sweet spot in black ink. The baseball includes 14 other signatures, including Hall of Famer Bill Dickey. The baseball itself has an Official Pacific Coast League W.C. Tuttle stamp across the opposite sweet spot panel, which means this ball was signed between 1936 and 1948 based on when William C. Tuttle began as commissioner of the PCL and Ruth’s passing in 1948. This baseball displays heavy toning, dirt stains and a brown spot above the signature of Lloyd Brown, but Ruth’s signature is clear and stands alone from the other signature. Other signatures on this baseball include Christy Walsh, Ruth’s long-time agent and promoter, Jack Salveson, Mark Koenig, Lefty O’Doul, Babe Herman, Jack Hanson, Bob Meusel and others. This fine baseball will make an excellent addition to a collection and it comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (P13386).
