Rarely does one see such a colorful display of baseball history, with the signatures of 50 all-time Major League Baseball greats, including 49 members of the National Baseball Hall of Fame, on a poster of multi-colored baseballs, a bat and glove. Notable signatures include Hank Aaron, Ted Williams, Mickey Mantle, Al Kaline, Sandy Koufax, Joe DiMaggio, George Brett and Willie Stargell, among others.
There are 47 baseballs of various colors, one black Louisville Slugger bat, and a brown Rawlings baseball glove depicted, each with a signature. At the top, from left to right, are Carlton Fisk (blue marker), Dave Winfield (gold marker), Duke Snider (blue pen), Al Kaline (blue marker), Juan Marichal (blue marker), Pee Wee Reese (silver marker), Bob Feller (blue marker), Sandy Koufax (silver marker); Joe DiMaggio (blue marker) and George Brett (silver marker). The second row, from left to right, includes Paul Molitor (silver marker), Johnny Bench (blue marker), Frank Robinson (blue marker), and the signature of Wade Boggs in gold marker on the black “Wade Boggs” model bat.
In the third row, below the Boggs bat from left to right are the signatures, all in blue marker, of Cal Ripken Jr., Carl Yastrzemski, Yogi Berra, Ted Williams, Willie McCovey, Willie Mays, Reggie Jackson, Gaylord Perry, Steve Carlton and Luis Aparicio. The fourth row, from left to right, includes Nolan Ryan (silver marker), Lou Brock (blue marker), Pete Rose (gold marker), Mike Schmidt (blue marker), Hank Aaron (blue marker), Joe Morgan (blue marker), Stan Musial (blue marker), Ricky Henderson (silver marker) and Warren Spahn (blue marker).
The fifth row, from left to right, has the signatures of Tom Glavine, Bob Gibson, Tom Seaver and Whitey Ford in blue marker on baseballs, broken up by a Rawlings glove with the signatures of Ozzie Smith and Brooks Robinson in blue marker, then continuing with four more baseballs signed by Billy Williams (blue marker), Willie Stargell (gold marker), Harmon Killebrew (blue marker) and Jim “Catfish” Hunter (blue marker). The bottom row, from left to right, features Don Drysdale (blue marker), Eddie Matthews (silver marker), Mickey Mantle (blue marker) and Ryne Sandberg (gold marker) to the left of the baseball glove, and Goose Gossage (with the inscription “HOF 2008” in silver marker), Eddie Murray (silver marker) and Tony Gwynn (blue marker) to the right.
