Presented here is a copy of “Highway 61 Revisited” signed by Bob Dylan. Dylan’s sixth studio album, released on August 30th, 1965, saw the famed singer-songwriter create blues-based music riddled with poetic verses that captured the political and cultural chaos of the tumultuous 1960s. The title was taken from a highway that ran from Dylan’s hometown of Duluth, Minnesota, that connected to various cities famed for their musical heritage, including St. Louis, Memphis, New Orleans, and the Delta area of Mississippi, which pointed to the influences heard on the album. The album featured the epic song “Like a Rolling Stone”, a six-minute revolutionary track that featured a heavy electric sound that was a departure from Dylan’s earlier, more bespoke acoustic folk sound. The song would become a Top 10 hit in several countries and was listed by Rolling Stone as the No. 1 greatest song of all time. Critically acclaimed and considered one of the greatest albums of all time, “Highway 61 Revisited” showcased Dylan’s ever-changing sound and is considered by many critics and music journalists as the album that officially kicked off the counterculture of the 1960s.

Presented here is a 12 x 12-inch 2015 reissue LP of Dylan’s “Highway 61 Revisited” signed by the revered balladeer. The cover of the white album features an image of a seated Dylan, clad in a paisley shirt while holding glasses, staring pensively into the camera while a man stands behind him holding a camera. “BOB DYLAN HIGHWAY 61 REVISITED” appears across the top of the album in black and gold. The reverse cover of the album contains an essay, images of Dylan in the studio, and the track listing. Dylan signed his name across the bottom of the cover below his image with a black marker. The signature is bold, and the record is in pristine condition and comes with the original record inside. A gorgeous specimen and a testament to one of rock’s most enduring and important voices, the item comes with an LOA from Roger Epperson Authenticated, an LOA from Jeff Rosen, Dylan’s manager and the president of Bob Dylan Music Company, and an LOA from JSA for the signature.
