Bob Gibson was one of the premier pitchers of his era, a fireballer who racked up 251 wins and 3,117 strikeouts over his 17-season career. He spent every season with the St. Louis Cardinals, leading them to three World Series. The Cardinals won two of those Fall Classics, with Gibson earning MVP honors in each win. The regular season MVP and Cy Young winner in 1968, Gibson was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1981.
Gibson signed the sweet spot of this Robert D. Manfred Official Major League baseball in blue pen. He added the inscriptions “W. Series Complete Game 7 Win Oct. 15 ‘64’” and “W. Series Complete Game 7 Win Oct. 12 ‘67’” on either side of his signature. This baseball comes with a COA from PSA/DNA (AC57240).
