This ball was used during the last game of Cal Ripken, Jr’s historic consecutive game streak. The Budig Official American League shows great game use with toning throughout and turf marks. At some point the ball was taken out of the game and put aside for posterity, an actual piece of game number 2,632. The Iron Man then signed the ball’s sweet spot and inscribed an adjacent panel with “Game Ball 9-19-98 2632” in blue ballpoint pen. A great piece that displays beautifully from the last night of one of sport’s most impressive records. This ball comes with a LOA from Cal Ripken, Jr. for the game use and signature and a certificate from Beckett Authentication stating they witnessed Cal Ripken, Jr. signing this item.
