This dugout card documents the first Oriole game since May of 1982 that did not include Cal Ripken, Jr. One can see where Cal had originally been penned in at the number 6 spot, only to be inked out at the last minute and “Minor” written in as a replacement. The card, updated throughout the game, shows many corrections and substitutions, showing that despite the momentous occasion of the evening, the game of baseball must go on. This lineup card comes with a LOA from Cal Ripken, Jr. for the game use.
