Cal Ripken, Jr. wore this black Orioles cap for the final game of his historic consecutive games streak on September 19, 1998. This cap features the oriole bird embroidered on the front in orange, black and white. The inside has the New Era tagging plus “7 3/8” size labels and “Diamond Collection” tag. Ripken’s handwritten number “8” and “9/19/98” accompanies Cal’s signature on the underside of the brim in black marker. The cap shows great game use with some scuffing and turf and perspiration stains throughout. This cap comes with a LOA from Cal Ripken, Jr. for the game use and signature and a certificate from Beckett Authentication stating they witnessed Cal Ripken, Jr. signing this item.
