Offered here is a stunningly rare circa 1910 Frank Baker cigar box. Baker was a huge star in the early 20th century for Connie Mack and the Philadelphia Athletics, leading the American League in home runs from 1911 through 1914. Baker retired after the 1922 season, having spent seven years with the A’s and six with the Yankees and finishing his career with a .307 batting average and 96 home runs. Baker was inducted to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1955.

This offered cigar box measures 8.5 x 5.5 x 2.5 inches and has “Frank Baker” printed on the top of the lid. “Londres Grande” is printed on the front of the cigar box. The inside of the lid features a glorious portrait of Baker next to two pairs of crossed bats and below a “Frank Baker” wordmark. “Our Boys Co., Reading, PA.” is printed on the inside hinge of the box. This is a truly scarce and desirable treasure, and one of the few opportunities to own a Frank Baker cigar box of this quality.
