Available is a sterling store model 33-inch Louisville Slugger BR40 bat signed by the “Sultan of Swat” himself dating back to the twilight 1932-36 era of Babe Ruth’s Hall of Fame career. The glossy, dark brown bat features Ruth’s signature in bold, black fountain pen over a sanded portion of the barrel on the sweet spot. The Louisville Slugger manufacturer stamping appears at the top of the handle, with “TRADE MARK,” “George ‘Babe’ Ruth,” and “REG. U.S PAT. OFF.” engraved vertically over three lines at the end of the barrel. The knob of the bat features a “34” engraving. Autographed Ruth bats are far rarer then autographed Ruth baseballs. It seems to us that single signed Ruth bats may be one of the most undervalued collectibles in the hobby, and certainly one of the rarest. This timeless piece of baseball history signed by baseball’s most iconic figure comes with full JSA (B25690) and PSA/DNA (E46048) LOAs.
