Michael Jordan & Summer Premium Auction Closing July 18 10PM Eastern
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 7/18/2020
Offered here is an oversized 98 x 58-inch black canvas flag that flew at the old Yankee Stadium. This comes from the personal collection of former player and executive, the late Gene “Stick” Michael. This flag shows heavy wear with loose threads and some tearing in one of the corners. This flag is black with “ORIOLES” sewn on in orange lettering. The fabric is 75% nylon and 25% wool as marked on the tag that is on the white ends. The old Yankee stadium closed after the 1973 season where it was given a total renovation that lasted for two seasons. The Yankees would play their home games in 1974 and 1975 at Shea Stadium in Queens. A great piece of memorabilia from the old historic park and this comes with a LOA from the family of Gene Michael.
